Gameheads
From Antelope to Whitetail deer, Pep’s Taxidermy promises details in your trophy mount that most taxidermists don't do. From recreating the natural texture of the nosepad and eyelids, the integration of natural colors to tubing out your trophy when possible (so there is no visible seam down the back of your mount), we are prepared and qualified to handle all those requests. Plus, all whitetail deer shoulder mounts will be aged and scored.
Most gameheads are completed within six months. Serving customers throughout the state of Wisconsin and even from Arizona to Florida, our exceptional quality of work is clear! Stop in and see the difference between us and the competition.

Field Care Tips
Once the animal is harvested, do not slit the ear to tag. Instead, tag the animal on its antler. |
Do not cut up past the brisket when gutting out, and do not slash the throat.
Do not drag or hang your animal by the neck. When caping out, hang your animal by the back legs and skin it down to the head. |
When you get to the front legs (you can cut off the feet at the knees), cut along the back of the leg, where the brown and white (armpit) hair meet, but do not cut into the armpit. Make this cut all the way up to where you gutted out the deer.
Continue skinning down to the head, then cut off the carcass at the neck, keeping the hide attached to the head. |
Deliver your animal to Pep’s Taxidermy as soon as possible; otherwise, seal it in double plastic bags and freeze until you are able to bring it in. |
